Beginner Soccer for Adults in Orlando
Never played, or haven’t played in years? Sunday night pickup is where adult beginners learn and play. Arrive at 5:45 PM for a free 15-minute beginner warm-up, then join the game at 6:00. Starting November 22, Sundays move to the turf at Renaissance Charter School in East Orlando. $10 per player, friendly people, no pressure.

Why Sunday pickup works for beginners
Revolver FC has run friendly adult soccer in Orlando since 2007. Sunday night is the easiest place to start.
Everyone is welcome
Brand-new players, people coming back after years off, and experienced players all share the same field.
Safe, friendly play
No slide tackles, no fighting, and no aggressive behavior. The goal is a good game for everyone.
No commitment
Pay $10 when you play. Skip a week whenever you need to. No team, season or uniform required.
A warm-up made for beginners
Every Sunday at 5:45 PM, a Revolver FC organizer runs a free 15-minute warm-up for new players before the 6:00 PM game.
Free beginner warm-up, Sundays at 5:45 PM
Fifteen minutes to get comfortable before the game. It’s included with your $10, and there’s no pressure to be good at anything yet.
Passing and receiving
The two skills you’ll use most in a game: how to pass with the inside of your foot and how to control the ball when it comes to you.
The basic rules
Throw-ins, corner kicks, offside in plain English, and the club rules: no slide tackles and no aggressive play.
Where to stand
A simple guide to positions, so you know where to be when your team has the ball and when it doesn’t.
Meet the group
Get to know a few players before kickoff. You won’t be the only new face on the field.

Check in with the organizer, let them know it’s your first time, and join the free 15-minute beginner warm-up. Until Nov 15 that’s Red Bug Lake Park, Field A (West). From Nov 22 it’s 9v9 on the turf at Renaissance Charter School.

Beginner questions
I’ve never played soccer. Can I really come?
Yes. Sunday pickup is open to adults 18+ of every skill level, including people who have never played. Arrive at 5:45 PM for the free beginner warm-up, then play at 6:00.
Where can adult beginners play soccer in Orlando?
Revolver FC’s Sunday night pickup is open to adult beginners. Starting November 22, 2026, it’s 9v9 on the turf at Renaissance Charter School in East Orlando, through December (until then, Red Bug Lake Park in Casselberry). The free beginner warm-up starts at 5:45 PM, games start at 6:00 PM, it costs $10, and you can come alone.
Is there any instruction for beginners?
Yes. Every Sunday at 5:45 PM, before the 6:00 PM game, a Revolver FC organizer runs a free 15-minute beginner warm-up covering passing, receiving, the basic rules and where to stand.
What if I’m out of shape?
That’s fine. Play at your own pace and sub out whenever you need a rest. Many players use Sunday pickup to get back in shape.
Do I need a team or friends to come with?
No. Most beginners come on their own, and we put you on a team when you arrive.
Do I need cleats?
Through November 15, games are on natural grass at Red Bug Lake Park, so soccer cleats are required. Starting November 22, games are on artificial turf at Renaissance Charter School: wear turf shoes or molded cleats, with no metal studs. Shin guards are recommended.
Is there Sunday pickup in the summer?
Sunday pickup runs January to May and September to December. From June to August, pickup moves to Wednesday and Thursday nights on the turf at Renaissance Charter School in East Orlando.
